1. Role Description
This position reports to the Finance(SEA) Lead and interfaces with internal stakeholders and Finance staff. Cleantech Solar is a leading provider of renewable energy to corporations in Southeast Asia and India. The company owns and operates more than 300 solar power plants across the 8 countries. 2. Specific Responsibilities
The individual will have the opportunity to:
- Hands-on experience supporting a Southeast Asia Finance team with operations in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam.
- Provide support for month-end/year-end closing and assist in preparation of monthly/yearly financial statements
- Witness the accounting impact of taxes (GST/ VAT/ Corporate tax, Withholding taxes)
- Provide support to annual standalone entities and group audits
- Participate in automation and digitalisation initiatives (ERP implementation) to improve financial insights and reporting processes
- Assist in preparation of key decision-making tools for management
- Other ad hoc tasks
3. Competencies
- Engage with stakeholders to understand the finance processes and participate in the drafting of policy documents
- Active participation in automation initiatives and all reporting processes, including working with internal and external stakeholders on the whole automation process
- Assist and prepare any required tools in the management reporting or decision process, including ensuring accuracy of data and format for submission
- Support in all accounting activities for Southeast Asia Solar finance team, including all month end closing process to ensure books are closed on time and accurate
4. Duration of the Internship
Must be able to commit at least 3 months full time
