The incumbent will assist with ongoing portfolio management of project finance and asset-backed finance transactions held by CCPL with a job scope that includes: assisting in the preparation of portfolio and credit reviews, portfolio reporting, analysing waiver requests and provide recommendations, covenants monitoring, maintaining credit files to an auditable standard, as well as reporting the portfolio’s performance to relevant parties. He / She will be able to acquire risk-related skillsets i.e., identifying adverse credit issues, adhering to the risk culture of “no surprises” within the firm. The individual will be working under the oversight and guidance of senior individuals in the Risk team.
He / She may also be exposed to risk analysis of new transactions by providing support on the sensitizing of financial projections, structure and documentation, credit approval write-ups, and from time-to-time support of portfolio monitoring and various initiatives of the Risk team.
Knowledge/ Experience Required:
- Completed / pursuing a good university degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related subject
- Interest in Finance and/or Credit risk (i.e. Project Finance, Offshore and Marine and Infrastructure sectors)
- Strong analytical and credit skills, with a good understanding of key credit and structuring risks advantageous, but not essential
- Adept at Excel, Powerpoint and Word
- Pleasant personality and a good team player with the ability to demonstrate initiative and work well with minimal supervision and within tight timeframes
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Growth mindset, detailed and solution-oriented
