CognaLearn was founded to help educators replace lectures with Team-Based Learning. Our award-winning www.intedashboard.com online team-based learning platform provides professors with the real-time data to deliver the engaging collaborative learning experiences used to develop problem-solving skills essential for the workforce. Since our founding at Duke-NUS Medical School, we have grown to serve over 100 institutions, 1 in 10 US medical schools, and 25% of the Ivy League.
We are looking for an Accessibility Analyst Intern who will be based in Singapore and report to our Chief Technology Officer at our global headquarters in Singapore. The Intern will work on achieving WCAG 2.0 for www.intedashboard.com website/app, mobile web, and perform native mobile testing & analysis. The internship will be nine months to a year.
What You Will be Doing
- Test and analyze existing web and mobile applications for Accessibility issues and work with developers and designers to define and implement solutions.
- Work with the product team to help ensure requirements and stories fully represent users with disabilities.
- Work with the product team (QA) to ensure they are following accessibility test plans and catching all issues.
- Work with designers and developers to ensure designs and pre-development technical decisions will produce accessible products.
- Support accessibility knowledge base and company-wide accessibility requirements.
- Work with diverse and distributed teams in a fast-paced environment with quick iterative cycles.
What You Will Be Learning
- Subject Matter Expertise in ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications).
- Experience using common Accessibility testing tools as well as Screen Readers such as JAWS, NVDA,
Talkback & Voiceover. - Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, iOS, and Android development.
- Experience with web and native mobile accessibility.
- Thorough, methodical, and creative with extreme attention to detail.
- Understanding of SDLC and the technical and business challenges that come with the development of a
product. - Understanding of UX and the design techniques and principles involved in the production of conceptual
prototypes and wireframes.
