Constructor – Learning Design Intern

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Learning Design Intern to join our team. This is a part-time opportunity, 20 hours per week.

As a Learning Design Intern, you will play a crucial role in developing engaging and effective learning experiences for our organization. Under the direct supervision of 2 Digital Learning Managers, you will learn how to design and create instructional materials, courses, and programs that align with our learning objectives and meet the needs of our learners and customers.

Key skills for the position:

• Visual and Graphic Design: apply visual design principles to create visually appealing and user-friendly learning materials. Develop graphical elements, infographics, and interactive media to support learning objectives.
• Video and Audio: create video and animation (with and without script) to convey ideas, concepts and scenarios effectively.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams and Project Management of multiple projects
• Continuous Improvement: engage in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills related to instructional design, learning technologies, and industry best practices.

Key skills that can be learned and applied during the internship:

• Learning Needs Analysis: conduct thorough analysis of learning needs, target audience, and desired learning outcomes to inform the design and development of effective learning solutions.
• Learning Design and Development: design and develop innovative and interactive learning experiences, including e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, multimedia presentations, simulations, assessments, and other learning resources. Apply instructional design principles and learning theories to ensure optimal learning experiences.
• Curriculum review: collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop comprehensive curriculum for various programs.
• Curation of content: create original instructional content or curate existing content from various sources to develop high-quality learning materials.
• Instructional Strategies: Select and implement appropriate instructional strategies, methodologies, and technologies to maximize learner engagement, knowledge retention, and skill development.

Qualifications and Skills: we understand that this is an internship and all of these skills we list below might not be fully refined, but you should definitely be tech savvy.

You should have graduated or be a student of Graphics Design, Creative Art, Multimedia, or related field at either Junior College, Polytechnic or University level.

• A keen interest in learning about instructional design principles, learning theories, and adult learning principles.
• Stay updated with the latest learning technologies and trends.
• Tech savvy and curious about learning how to use e-learning authoring tools multimedia tools and learning management systems (LMS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner in perfect English.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to design innovative learning experiences.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning solutions.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and embrace new technologies and methodologies.
