Purpose of the Role
We are looking for Art Directors to work on creative projects from the start to completion. You are the overall sign-off on the appearance of the final product. You are required to have the ability to champion and sell your creative work. You are also required to actively evolve design strategies that promote excellence and be the point of contact for work moving through the creative studio.
You are required to be a natural visual thinker, ready to expand your skillsets and learn from the senior creatives. You are required to have the urge of creativity, drive for imagination, and multidisciplinary capability across all digital media platforms.
You are to be pro-active in your approach and be resourceful when it comes to the ideation of a design. You are required to be confident to share and sell your ideas to the management and clients. You are also required to be strategic in your thinking.
Responsibilities
- Interpreting creative briefs and applying expert art direction to the visual elements of creative projects.
- Ensuring a high standard of visual execution across all media and campaigns.
- Reviewing the works of junior designers and providing sound direction and feedback.
- Taking ownership of the visual elements of creative work for new business pitches.
- Uncovering new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns.
- Be involved in creative briefs, brainstorms, and idea generation sessions.
- Assist the creative team in creating original concepts and designs for communications campaigns.
- Provide support in the production of TVC, KV, digital assets, illustration etc.
- Aid in the preparation of presentation materials where necessary.
- To work on film, animation and motion-graphic projects within digital campaigns and assisting the art directors and production houses with design revisions in film and motion-graphics mediums.
- To create content for digital and social media platforms.
- To meet deadlines set by the management team.
- Keep up-to-date with popular culture and trends, and digital innovations.
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of typography, image manipulation, illustration and animation.
- Generating strong original ideas and visual concepts.
- The ability to build creative and unique ideas.
- Ability to confidently communicate your ideas and sell them to your peers and clients.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to use initiative.
- The ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly, while maintaining attention to detail and work quality.
- Effective teamworking skills, an enthusiastic team player who believes in collaboration and cooperation.
- Great awareness of digital media and the ways in which advertising is carried.
- A passion for advertising and an understanding of what makes a good advertisement.
- A willingness to learn.
- Resilience, to enable you to deal with problems and constructive criticism.
- Resourceful, ability to find and share resources when dealing with a roadblock.
- High level skills in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Creative and curious, with an outgoing personality!
