Dulwich College (Singapore) is looking for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistant to join its Finance Team. The successful candidate will administer the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) and all administration on Cash, Cheque, NETS and Credit Card payments from parents or students relating to tuition and other school activities, recording and reporting on payments as required.
Responsibilities
Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) Administration
- Manage the end-to-end process of the procurement, administration, reconciliation and reporting of FPS purchases and cancellations in compliance with the CPE and Edutrust requirements;
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, Admissions team and relevant support staff for the review of FPS in alignment with CPE and Edutrust requirements;
- Prepare the monthly FPS reconciliation in relation to the FPS invoice and credit note
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Handle the receipt, recording, reconciliation and administration of Cash, Cheque, Nets and Credit Card transactions, organize banking of cheques and cash;
- Support the AR team in managing fee collection , such as follow-up with parents on outstanding fee payments, while maintaining high level of customer service;
- Key point of contact for a portfolio of students in relation to fees matters;
- Prepare billings and receipts issuance for School-activities, application, ad-hoc and tuition fees;
- Prepare the refund of school-activities, application, ad-hoc and tuition fees, ensuring timeliness of refund in compliance with College policies;
General Ledger
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly AR reconciliation reports, such as bank reconciliation, school activity revenue reports and daily transactional journal report.
- Generate weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) reports and provide receipt updates to teachers and relevant support staff;
- Assist in both internal and external audits;
All other duties commensurate with the post.
Requirements:
- Preferably has a CAT or Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualification (advantageous to have);
- Preferably has a minimum of one year’s experience in Accounts Receivable or as a Cashier (advantageous to have);
- Preferably has prior experience with FPS administration (advantageous to have)*;
- Preferably possess an understanding of basic Singapore accounting and tax policy*;
- A team player with good communication skills who is also able to work autonomously with little supervision;
- Have effective customer service skills and the ability to manage both internal and external customers;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word);
- Meticulous and able to process data with high degree of accuracy;
- Flexible in their approach to managing their workload and have the ability to deal with deadlines and the prioritising of own workload.
