As an industry change leader, Ecopex enables circular economy and makes circularity a central part of corporate real estate. We optimize office spaces and provide flexible furniture solutions to reduce cost and waste by utilizing local, existing resources. Our priority is to extend the technical life of existing furniture; a key component towards ‘Zero-waste furniture’.
We are a fast growing startup just over 1 year old, and we have entered the growth-stage of the business and we are currently in the middle of raising our seed funding which is 50% completed, and were are gearing up to grow the team and infrastructure.
Ecopex consists of 3 main pillars that are focused on enabling a circular economy within the office furniture industry:
Workplace As A Service - WAAS - Using technology to optimize corporate real estate and reduce their footprint, and assist them with management of excess assets, with focus on furniture. A part of this service is our 'E-Circular Recovery' consultancy service, were we help business minimize their impact of renovating or vacating existing premises, by recovering existing furniture to be included into our rental portfolio, distributed to charities, or to be responsibly disposed off/recycled. Our goal is to create 'Zero-Waste'.
Furniture As A Service - FAAS - We make office furniture available on demand through our flexible furniture solutions. High-quality furniture that we recover or buy back, is included as part of our rental portfolio as our primary supply chain. Any new furniture included to the portfolio is high-quality furniture that is made to last and designed for repair.
The Hub - The backbone of our business where WE DEAL WITH IT! The Hub is our circular facility where we refurbish the furniture, and provide industry services that bring together the furniture industry on a circular journey towards Zero-Waste furniture, as a collective.
The company is also part of raiSE Singapore as a social enterprise where our goals are by using a circular economy approach, to reduce waste and Co2 impact related to office furniture, and to include individuals that struggle with entering the job market within our organization.
In a 1+ year old startup, one never has just one job, but where we are looking for a compassionate and dynamic individual to join the team, is for our 'E-Circular Recovery' consultancy services.
The job will be to lead the consultancy service. This includes site visits, project management, distribution to charities, sustainability reporting, external/internal stakeholder management, and documentation of recovered furniture. So a varied position that offers flexibility to create and shape the the service as a 'Product Manager' and that gives exposure to a variety of business facets throughout the processes.
We do not expect you to know how to do all of this, but we are looking a dynamic problem solver who is passionate about sustainability, and who can is able to manage projects independently and in a structured manner.
A key skill that we are looking for is sustainability management training/degree. Ideally with focus on circular economy and/or waste management.
