EDF Lab Singapore is therefore looking for new talents to join its motivated team. You will be joining the e-mobility team and working with us as a Research Engineer, working on projects involving smart mobility, e-mobility, and EV charging infrastructure in Singapore/Asia.
Key responsibilities
Develop new models and innovative concepts related to smart urban mobility, charging, and related business models:
Design and develop of solutions related to smart charging and digital solutions (develop algorithms and support implementation on test site or on user facing solutions)
- Build and apply analytic models, research methodologies, and quantitative tools to derive insights from model outputs and other business data
- Research and review current and emerging EV charging infrastructure and smart-charging technologies, urban mobility, transport electrification trends, business models in Asia and any potential applications that could represent a business application for EDF Group
- Support the calibration and development of EDF existing transport model tools (e.g. using Anylogic, python) to model and simulate charging points, mobility usage patterns, travel demands (according to project needs)
- Support EDF Business Units by contribute to the development of new products and services related to e-mobility
- Work closely with an international team to design and implement approaches to achieve research goals
- Collaborate locally with academics, start-ups and corporates
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in any engineering, computer science, or other related discipline. Master’s degree or higher preferred
- Interest or Relevant experience in smart charging, transport modelling, smart mobility services and business models
- Experience in programming (Java, Python)
- Modelling and simulation experience would be a plus (e.g. MATSim, AnyLogic)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Autonomy, Curiosity and strong interest in innovation
