EDF Lab Singapore is looking for a talent to work with our cross-disciplinary research team in developing smart city solutions. The role will provide you a unique opportunity to work on projects involving mobility electrification, EV charging infrastructure and renewable energy market topics in Southeast Asia.
You will be learning not only the day-to-day responsibilities of a researcher within our team but also will be tasked with project that directly supports the goals of EDF Lab Singapore.
2023 Intern - Mobility Electrification - Research and Analysis
Key responsibilities:
The core activities of the intern will be to support EDF Lab contribution to “Web 3” program using blockchain technology to support emergence of decentralised internet.
More specifically the intern will help in the following tasks :
- Organise hackathons, workshops and development sprints to study use cases, assess risks, and launch new Proof of Concepts (POC)
- Develop a matrix of use cases and technologies
- Contribute to the delivery of 2 demonstrators/PoCs (hydrogen and electric mobility)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any engineering, mathematics, computer science, or other related discipline
- Strong in mathematics and experience in programming (e.g. Java, Python) and data management
- Familiarity with software architecture, Web development, communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OCPP) and cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud)
- Prior knowledge in smart contracts and blockchain would be a plus
- Interest or experience in conducting research and draw insights and recommendations from the analysis
- Experience or interest in topics such as electric mobility, renewable energy market and business model analysis
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to commit up to 6 months
