EDF Lab Singapore is looking for a talent to work with our cross-disciplinary research team in developing smart grid solutions. This role will provide you a unique opportunity to work on projects involving microgrids and energy management targeting market participation.

Key responsibilities
- Review the existing energy management strategies for microgrids and multi-microgrids in literature
- Data Preparation for energy management problem
- Modify and develop optimization algorithm for microgrid energy management
- Power system modeling and analysis on PowerFactory
- Demonstrate clear presentation of modelling and optimization assumptions and results
Requirements
- Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, computer science, or other related discipline
- Strong interest or experience in power and energy studies and programming (e.g. Python, Matlab)
- Familiar with electrical equipment, power automation, energy management
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to commit at least 4 months, full-time or part-time, and starting by June
- Eligible to work and already located in Singapore
Skills developed through the Internship
Throughout this internship, the recruit will be trained on the technical topics of microgrids that embed the complexities of operating a complex electrical system. This will increase its knowledge about real-life constraints of industrial assets from an electro-technical perspective.
