As such the future recruit scope of work will be involved in the evolution of those 2 domains:
“Urban Microgrids in Singapore”
- This is a project that focuses on the topic of energy management strategies for microgrids and multi-microgrids
- This task will involve working on the system model for microgrid simulations with distributed energy resources (DERs)
- The intern will work on the development of an energy management tool to optimize the utilization of different DERs in the microgrid and prospective demonstration of such tool in the microgrid testbed.
Support to Industrial Development
- Several tools have been developed by EDF Lab Singapore to support the industrial development of the microgrid business in Asia Pacific
- LiteDERMS: an Energy Management System software developed in GoLang and used to optimize in real-time the energy mix of an off-grid microgrid
- Load Curve Generator: This Excel-based tool is used to estimate the consumption of remote communities in Indonesia and build the loadcurve that is an essential input in sizing the overall microgrid system
- Cost Database: an Excel record that will be transferred to a centralized cloud-based application
