Embed Global Pte Ltd – Business Development Intern

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) Intern and as part of our Sales Team, you will be one of our main drivers responsible for prospecting, following up, and passing on qualified leads. To be successful in this role, you would need to have some knowledge of lead generation, ideal customer profiling and developing industry-based prospecting strategies, as well as demonstrated experience in communications, achieving goals and hitting key deliverables. You are extremely organized, curious, and eager to learn, and you have a positive attitude and fearlessness to hop on the phone with new people daily.

What You’ll Do:

• Help us uncover potential B2B partners across Southeast Asia – from e-commerce platforms to clean energy startups – where embedded insurance can add real value.
• Experience developing and driving effective account planning strategies to identify key decision-makers, understand customer needs, and tailor sales approaches accordingly.
• Work to KPIs on lead conversion, lead touchpoints, lead responsiveness, number of meaningful tasks per day and number of meetings booked and attended per month, pipeline generation and booked revenue.
• Work closely with our BD team to prepare pitch decks, product demos, and proposals. Join client meetings and take part in shaping our go-to-market strategies.
• Analyze trends in embedded finance, insurtech, and digital platforms. Help us stay ahead of the curve with sharp market intelligence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams to help turn partnership ideas into live programs.

What You’ll Bring To The Table:

• A current university student or recent graduate (Business, Finance, Marketing, or related fields).
• You are a real people person, persuasive, communicate confidently and exude trust and reliability.
• You have the ability to understand customer's industry and core business challenges.
• You have the ability to be curious about a prospect’s business, ask meaningful questions and position Embed Global as an industry expert that can help deliver outcomes and solve problems.
• Insurance industry knowledge is preferred but not essential: Understanding of the industry, including market trends, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape is crucial for effectively positioning Embed Global’s services and staying ahead in the market.
• You possess business fluent communication skills in English. Any additional SE-Asian languages are a plus!
• You have an interest in startups, fintech, and/or the future of insurance with an entrepreneurial mindset, a bias for action and a desire to learn.
• Bonus: Previous internship or side project in business development, consulting, or a startup environment.
