Envision Digital International Pte Ltd – Algorithm Engineer Intern / Meteorologist Intern

Our team is building a world leading high-resolution weather forecast system with
Meteorology, Machine Learning and Deep Learning models. You can expect from this internship the whole data science pipeline in the real industry combined with interesting Weather domain knowledge exploration. It also includes work related to data cleaning, data exploration, data visualisation, feature engineering and model building, which will be a very fruitful learning journey!

Qualifications:
• Major studies in Study Statistics, Computer Science, Signal processing, Mathematics, Physics etc.
• Have deep understanding of different statistical, machine learning and deep learning models, e.g. time series, linear regression, tree-based models, support vector machine, CNN, LSTM etc.
• Proficiency in python, and familiar with some common packages, e.g. pandas, numpy, sklearn, matplotlib, etc.
• Proficiency in coding in Linux environment and can write bash script.
• Detail-oriented and cautious for data exploration and result analysis.
• Have good communication and presentation skills and know how to collaborate and learn from others.
• Have passion about data and data science

Responsibilities:
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of the weather data, which is spatial and temporal.
• Maintain and improve existing machine learning models for wind power, rainfall and
temperature.
• Ensemble different meteorology models’ outputs.
• Data exploration with raw weather attributes, like wind speed, relative humidity in different pressure layers.
• Provide technical support for business people mainly for pre-sales purpose.
