Position Specific Description
As the IT/OT Business Analyst Intern, the successful candidate will provide insights and present information to assist the Solutions Architect and delivery team in making informed decisions and drive innovation in AIoT and connected energy solutions. The candidate will need to have top academic performance with deep understanding/experience in industrial software infrastructure OR basic know-how in OT network infrastructure, and adequate knowledge in energy industry.

In the IT role, you will gain a deep understanding of cutting-edge digital and energy related operations and products and be learn how to utilize them to drive the various software delivery phases.

In the OT role, you will be interacting with OT (hardware) devices, and you will gain a deep understanding of cutting-edge energy related operations and products and learn how to integrate them with IT systems for data analytics during the project delivery phase.

Strong problem-solving skill, independent study capability and self-motivation are the core qualities of a suitable candidate.

IT Business Analyst

Responsibilities:
- Meet with end users and subject matter experts to define business goals and problems that need to be managed
- Support Solution Architects to develop market leading energy and digital related solutions that meet customers’ requirements
- Conducts analyses and prepares reports that provide operational and/or technical support to business operations.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support Solution Architects in projects.
- Utilizing IT data for business insights and analyzing data to inform business decisions.
- Work with various teams to drive project phases while monitoring deliverables to ensure timely completion of project.

Requirements:
- Major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science, Information Systems and Analytics and Electrical Engineering, or other relevant programmes preferred
- Keen understanding about IT systems and delivery methodologies is a must.
- Knowledge in system functionalities and logic
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to write up systems-specification documents in a clear and concise manner

Preferred requirements:
- Good understanding about energy industry (power system, renewable energy, energy storage system etc.)
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets is a bonus

OT Business Analyst

Responsibilities:
- Assist the project team in enabling OT devices (e.g. Smart Power Meter) to communicate with the relevant IT systems to allow data ingestion for business analytics
- Engage project team and relevant stakeholders in project planning, management and delivery
- Align proposed solutions and the corresponding product requirements with internal stakeholders during the project planning and implementation
- Work closely with relevant parties to understand the requirements to be met and facilitate the project delivery

Requirements:
- Major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science or other relevant programmes preferred, with interest in energy or power sector
- Keen knowledge in energy-related topics (Power system, renewable energy, energy storage system etc.)
- Team player with a positive working attitude and the ability to handle tight deadlines
- Be highly adaptable and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills

Preferred Requirements:
- Basic understanding about IT infrastructure and programming capability is a plus
- Previous experience in energy related industry is a plus
