EDT is a charity organisation that was founded in 2009, with a vision of fostering sustainable traditions and missions of fortifying self-identity, develop artistic aspirations and bridging between multiple cultures. EDT is also a host organisation for the National Youth Council (NYC) Youth Tech (Digital)
Internship program.
EDT stretches the boundaries of the Malay dance scene in Singapore, bringing a unique quality to Malay dance. The company's repertoire includes traditional, contemporary and new creative Malay dance.
Our annual highlights are:
1. Kacip Mas Dulang Permata, a platform provided for choreographers to showcase their works;
2. the Multi-Genre/ Tri-Master Production, where the fusion of different genres are weaved into one holistic production;
3. the Muara Festival, a regional Malay dance and music festival that promotes the exchange of performance repertoire between participating groups;
These events serve to celebrate, elevate and sustain the richness of the Malay culture and tradition.
In fact, as a trend leader, we were the first to organise a Regional Festival on a Digital Platform during the COVID '19 event curbs.
• Scheduling staff movements & monitoring datelines.
• maintaining proper documentation and filing of reports.
• Assist in writing proposals and presentations.
• Collating of data, research information and archiving.
• Maintenance of equipment and site space Recce
• Venue readiness, space recce and technical requirements
• Logistics for props/dancers and foreign talents
• Double up as Stage Manager or Production Manager (transition)
• Support Business Development in publicity
• Support Accounts
Required skills:
• Organizational skills include being neat and consistent.
• Basic skills, Adobe Illustrator or similar AND Final Cut Pro or similar
• Basic skills in Microsoft softwares (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
• Proficiency in English.
• Independent and internet/digital savvy.
• Ability to think outside the box.
