ABOUT ERA DANCE THEATRE LIMITED (EDT)

With a mission to bridge across multi-cultures in Singapore and utilise art as a means of public engagement, Era Dance Theatre Limited (EDT) is dedicated to revitalising and championing our traditional arts and heritage. EDT is a recipient of the National Arts Council's Major Grant and has helped stretch the boundaries of the local arts scene in Singapore since its inception.

Our repertoire encompasses traditional, new creative and also "Malay contemporary" works. Our annual highlights include:

EDT has come a long way since its inception as we embark on new challenges and opportunities. Over the last few years, we have staged many productions and collaborations with local and international groups. Beyond entertainment and revitalising Malay traditional arts in Singapore, EDT also hopes to utilise traditional arts, specifically Malay traditional dance, as a therapeutic tool to enhance one's physical and emotional wellbeing.

In the future, EDT hopes to continue producing quality cultural works that celebrate, elevate and sustain the richness of Malay culture and tradition and enhance the global community's wellbeing.
