Job Description

We are looking for Operation Research Intern to be part of this green journey.

 Role and Responsibilities:

  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for building the optimization system
  • Building models (constraint programming, mixed integer programming, network optimization etc) and integrate model into simulation environment
  • Implement the model into operations with the complex decision-making system
  • Implement machine learning / predictive/optimization models against datasets to generate useful insights and more data-driven decision-making for client/stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other Cross-functional Implementation teams to formulate and translate problems into appropriate actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas
  • Prepare functional specifications and project documents

Qualifications and Professional Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree or Postgraduate degree in Operation Research(OR), Applied- OR, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, or equivalent qualifications
  • Proficient in working with at least one of the following: Python, R, etc, possess advanced applied statistics skills, experienced with Google OR tool, Streamlit, and practical application preferred
  • Experienced in developing prototype software applications (Optional)


Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse and significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Detail-oriented and excellent data sense
  • Team player and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Experienced in mathematical programming, data mining, there is a drive to learn new technologies, statistical methods, and data manipulation techniques
  • Experienced in developing prototype software applications will be a bonus.
