Job Description

The ER&IR Specialist will support the Head of ER & IR in the facilitation of ER & IR in FPG with the aim of building a positive and engaged work environment. The incumbent will assist in liaising with both internal stakeholders (BU/CF & HRBP) as well as external partners in employee and industrial relations. In addition, the incumbent will assist in the projects and initiatives across the HR community. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support ER/IR Head in working with internal business stakeholders to understand business requirements in order to facilitate effective ER & IR policies and processes. 
  • Assist in investigation and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collating and analyzing Management, Union and employee feedback across all levels and revise employee relations policies to generate higher positive outcomes.
  • Identify risks and challenges to the potential employee and union relationship, and raise them to ER/IR Head.
  • Ability to stay current with local employment laws, practices and trends.
  • Familiar with Collective Labour Agreements and ability to interpret them for those require clarity.
  • Assist the ER/IR Head in the management of internal and external relationships to facilitate healthy a working relationship. Managing relationship with unions as and when it is necessary.
  • Undertake any other HR related projects within ER/IR and across the HR community.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business or HR or relevant qualifications with 3-4 years of HR experiences 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of local employment legislation 
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Good stakeholders’ management
  • Good organizing and executional skills 
  • Meticulous and good team player
