Head of Public Relations at Financial Media Group
You will have at least 5 years PR experience and will be massively underwhelmed with the service that most agencies provide for their clients. You know how it could and should be done better and you are will to step in to a role of responsibility and stand behind your results.
You will be starting, heading up and growing the PR function for the group. You will be a competent and prolific writer yourself and well versed in delivering what journalists and editors are looking for. You will have experience working with freelance writers and will be able to build a team to handle our growing client base. You will be equally comfortable pitching profiles or stories to editors ranging from old economy small businesses, global conglomerate listed companies or brand new crypto initiatives.
You will be working closely with our Managing Director and our clients. Our clients are international so work will occasionally involve odd hours but you will be left to manage your own schedule as long as the work gets done.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date press lists of journalists
- Leverage existing relationship to be able to write stories to order
- Tracks competitive and industry information
- Proactively track media opportunities for clients including editorial calendars, award programmes and speaking opportunities
- Support account team in content development including research options
- Participates in brainstorms for new account pitches and project idea
- Planning and executing client's PR campaigns
- Drafting press releases
