Job Description

Role Purpose

The intern will be joining the Consumer Sales Capability team to support the strategic work priorities under the Modern Trade and Revenue Growth Management pillars. Some of the key projects that the person could get exposure includes supporting the sales capability programmes (e.g. e-learning training project management, MT & RGM bootcamps deployments, design and deploy of digital dashboards) and learning the ways of using databacked analysis to influence business strategies (e.g. pricing, portfolio assortment, promotion, distribution).

Role Accountabilities

• Learn the ways of analysing brands’ portfolio to provide recommendations on strategies(e.g. pricing, promotion, assortment) and link them to the concepts under Revenue GrowthManagement (RGM).

• Learn the ways of selling effectively to customers through the MT training tools/programand understand the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process

• Develop tools and processes to drive sales and data analysis capabilities across theAPAC region. This involves rolling out e-learning trainings & bootcamps deployments.

• Work with various stakeholders and multiple data sources to help capture the insights forgrowth opportunities in the markets such as;

- Using the Fonterra Discovery Tools to analyse various market landscape andidentify gap opportunities to act upon- Co-ordinate with the market to gather critical data needed to conduct in-depthanalysis to identify opportunities in terms of pricing, pack offering and distribution

- Work with commercial and brand team to understand the brand priorities and linkit to the promotion and pack offering strategies- Using scan sales data and modelling tools to understand the effectiveness of ourpromotion investments and capture the opportunities

- Work with the markets to organize our data and visualize the information toprovide insights to the business on MT capability plan and RGM opportunities

- Understand how to leverage various external databank and agency to providesolutions to address specific business problems

Development opportunities

Gain Solid Experience in working at the APAC Regional Team and engaging various markets with different market dynamics

Gain an overall understanding on how a team works across multiple markets in Fonterra and learn RGM & JBP are deployed to all markets across the business to drive sustainable revenue and profit growth.

Develop Strong Collaboration and influencing skills

Learn collaboration skill with a diverse group of people from different functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations) and countries (across SEA and Oceania) to support the RGM and JBP pillars.

Build a community of learners and practitioner.

Leverage the right data source to support key must win RGM and JBP strategies

How to organize and master various internal and external data source (Market Share, Scan Sales, Kantar Home Panel) to gain 360 view on current pack price performance and develop a strong data driven business strategies to ensure we drive the right portfolio and optimize our promotion investments.

Key Skills & Attitude

Currently pursuing Bachelor’s in Business majoring in Marketing, Strategic Management, Data Analytics, Market Research, or any other related discipline.

Savvy in interpreting trends and able to generate insights from observations and/or desk research.

Good communication skills – able to communicate key findings in succinct and impactful manner.

Strong analytical and presentation skills.

Positive and enthusiastic team player who can collaborate across cultures.

Strong project management skills with ability to get things done.

Self-motivated and works well in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau will be an added advantage.

Able to speak and write in fluent English. 

Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
