JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare timely and accurate Net Assets Values, yields, distributions, and other fund accounting output for subsequent review.
• Record accurately, and in accordance with the Department policies and procedures, such accounting records as securities positions, corporate actions related, and journal entries.
• Reconcile various accounts and promptly researching and correcting any variances.
• Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records and prices, communicating same to Senior Finance Manager, and assisting in their resolution.
• Assist, as assigned, in preparing audit schedules, compliance reports, tax returns, financial statements, or other reports.
• Write reports periodically to management on Fund activities and other related issues.
• Monitor cash movements and work with internal departments to ensure all the cash balances are reflected and captured correctly
• Ensuring end of day balances are flat and sufficient funds for payments.
• Creating, updating or amending Standard Operating Procedures.
• Partner the businesses in budgeting, analysis and implementation of internal control.
• Perform daily accounting duties, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Assist in the monthly closing of accounts, preparation of payment voucher and petty cash disbursement, preparation of bank reconciliation and schedules for Balance sheet items.
• Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax officers.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Any other assigned task and administrative matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Accountancy, Business or relevant studies
• Minimum 5 years if experience in the relevant field
• Industry experience from banking and investment firms will be an added advantage
• Fluent and proficient in English and Mandarin in order to liaise with mandarin-speaking counterparties
