Job Description

This internship would be most suitable for someone awaiting entry to tertiary education (e.g. finished NS, awaiting to go to university, finished Diploma), or in first/second year of university. No prior experience is required.

This role is with the Singapore Operations team, which is in-charge of processing and disbursing loans to borrowers. This role involves some customer interaction and would be a good entry point for someone keen to learn more about the ins-and-outs of the business of a leading FinTech. In this role, you would be exposed to the end-to-end processes and workings of the Singapore business.

(Note – this isn’t a Sales or Business Development role. Though there will be a need to deal with customers in this role, there will not be a need to sell or prospect for leads.)

Job Duties

  • Liaise with customers applying for loans and credit lines / facilities – collect pre-defined documents and assist in requisite checks and processing. Support the respective teams (Sales, Partnerships, Credit, Operations) as required. All this has to be done within our stipulated turn-around time.
  • Assist the team in carrying out KYC operations, contract document-related operations, disbursal-related operations, and finance operations. In doing this, you will need to liaise with other teams throughout the company and gain an understanding of how the entire business functions on a day-to-day basis.
  • Drive change in the business through structured feedback, ensuring we always provide customers with the best possible experience across all aspects of Funding Societies

You will shine in this role if you are/have:

  • Strong communication & listening skills and a passion for delighting customers
  • Strong time-management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and calm when working under pressure and tight timelines
  • Proactive, motivated, and metrics-driven
  • An inquisitive and analytical mind – able to look at, and understand, existing practices and suggest improvements
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, and will enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Interested to solve complex real-world issues
