As an Operations Research Intern, your primary role will be to use advanced mathematical, analytical methods and tools to help Funding Societies identify and resolve day-to-day operations process-related challenges.
You will be working with local (Singapore) and regional operations teams to identify and solve operations process-related problems through investigation, data collection and modelling. The work would revolve around optimising workflow, identifying “waste” and simplifying organisational processes.
What you’ll do
Use strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze operations-related data and information (including process maps)
Analyse and evaluate the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of operational processes in order to ensure peak performance + make, and implement, recommendations to optimise resource allocation and work processes based on your findings
Develop and implement mathematical and statistical models in a data-driven approach that would help in optimising work processes within Funding Societies
Develop custom analysis tools in a variety of programming languages and applications such as Visual Basic, MS Access, and MS Excel, or other OR tools you may already be familiar with
Perform data analysis to identify data patterns & trends and recommend areas of improvement in the operations process
Optimise scalable processes to improve operational efficiency, translating business needs into measurable outcomes such as Turnaround Times
You will shine in this role if you are/have:
Are pursuing, or possess qualifications, or have taken courses, in Operations Research, Operations Management, Operations Strategy or Industrial Engineering
