Future Protein Solutions Pte Ltd – Automation & Mechanical Engineer (Intern)

As part of this internship experience, you will be working closely with the founding team members to work on various designs, development and prototypes for the purpose of improving the farm operations through introductions of mechanisms and automations.

During this period of internship, you will:

• Work with the Farm Operations to understand the basics of farming operations and to identify how some of this current workflow can be automated/simplified through available hardware and software;
• Work with the Farm Operations to design and improve the workflow of the farming, harvesting, processing methods, in order to ease up the work load and duration of the farming team;
• Work with the Farm Operations to identify ways to capture data and update the online database, such that data analytics can be performed;
• Work with Commercial Lead and Farm Operations to devise methods and build prototypes to increase the production and processing yields, with the goal to 10x the production output per harvest;
• Work with Marketing to maintain the website information and to share farm activities on social media platforms; and
• Work with the Regulatory team to arrange for laboratory tests of cricket products.

We are looking for someone:

• Interested in insect farming and unafraid to handle insects;

• Have basic knowledge in production design, engineering and biology. Advantageous to have interest in food production, farming and hand-on work/knowledge; and
