We are an affiliate of Generation:You Employed, a global network of non-profit organisations working on a mission to bridge the gap between education and employment systems to prepare, place and support people into meaningful jobs that are otherwise inaccessible. Generation was created in 2014 to help bridge this gap—at speed and scale. To date, Generation has supported more than 60,000 people of all ages across 17 countries to get into career-launching jobs. Our placement rates are one of the best in the market at nearly 82% of all Generation graduates securing full-time jobs within 90 days of completing the program.

We are able to achieve such outcomes as a result of a robust demand-led methodology to design and deliver profession-specific skilling programmes that lead to employment. Generation programmes prepare unemployed or underemployed people of all ages, for jobs in four sectors: healthcare, technology, retail/sales, and skilled trades.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated program associate (placements) intern who’s keen on conducting research and supporting outreach efforts to potential employer partners about Generation Singapore.

 

You will generate leads, initiate contact and maintain relationships with prospects as well as complete a range of administrative duties.

 

What You’ll Do include:

 

  • Conducting market research to identify opportunities to engage prospective employers

  • Coordinating and attending meetings, appointments, events and conferences

  • Assisting with preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective employers meetings

  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders via email, phone, and in-person.

  • Updating and briefing documents for internal and external meetings in timely manner

  • Creating and maintaining client databases on Salesforce, effective tracking of outreach opportunities and conduct follow ups 

  • Comfortable pitching and presenting to customers as your grow into the role with sufficient support and training

  • Coordinate job matching and placement activities for owned cohorts/programs

  • Contacting program graduates to understand their status if and when the need arises 

  • Providing effective administrative support for stakeholders whenever necessary

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and strong networking skills

  • Possess a start-up mentality, able to prioritize and manage workload

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
