Giantech Engineering Pte Ltd – Technology & Engineering Writer (Intern)

We are looking for an intern to be part of an exciting project involving marketing and content creation. As you will be liaising primarily with our team of engineers, a technical/engineering background or interest is preferred although not compulsory.

In this role, you will act as a key member being the creative thinker, generating ideas and creating articles that adds value to our proposition, and appeals to potential and existing clients. You will also assist in creating contents to support different business requirements, e.g. newsletters, blog posts (Communities and connections), PowerPoint presentations, web marketing, etc.

You will also have a chance to actively participate in key stakeholder and business development meetings. By the end of your internship you will have developed transferable skills like effective communication, teamwork and problem solving along with enhanced professional development and work habits.

Skills required:

• Majoring in Mass Comm, media & communication, marketing, journalism, or business related fields

• Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language

• Great storytelling ability, an eye for detail, and a firm grasp on grammar and writing style.

• Able to do research independently on given topics to generate engaging content.

• Able to organise own work schedule and prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines

• Able to work well both independently and in a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

• Prior experience as a content writer is a plus.

• Creative mind with initiative to propose new ideas and provide input to discussions

• Tech-savvy with a passion and knowledge for exploring new technologies

Optional skills:

• Familiar with creating blog posts, MS suite, Adobe products and any video editing software, cameras and microphones.

• Photoshop skills

• Design / video editing skills for social media content
