Gift Management Asia Pte Ltd – Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Intern

• Provide technical expertise on key issues related to environmental and social impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, preparation, implementation and supervision of Giift’s operations taking into consideration best industry practices and standards
• Manage and conduct environmental and social safeguarding due diligence
• Identify all key potential social and environmental impacts and risks
• Conduct consultations in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines and be responsible to prepare the reports
• Report on and disseminate good practices and generated knowledge
• Responsible for monitoring the environmental, social and governance performance for Giift.
• Prepare quarterly ESG/Sustainability reports on progress to Giift and as per the SASB reporting methodology
• Engages with internal stakeholders and presenting regular sustainability reports and conduct sustainability assessments.
• Manage the due diligence on all business unit's Sustainability Policies
• Create further guidelines, checklists, policies, procedures, and other related program content, to align with best practice and frameworks, and Giift to carry out and enhance programs.
• Support qualitative landscape/benchmarking studies on corporate sustainability programs, goals, disclosures, performance, and rankings among companies, with corresponding data collection and analysis for client sustainability reporting, industry research, and data management needs.
  Support industrywide collaborative initiatives through project management, technical advisory, and coordinating functions and engagement for meetings, calls, workshops, trainings, presentations, and events. (if necessary)
• Perform ad-hoc administrative duties as and when required

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience to identify environmental/social risk and issues and develop mitigation measures to ensure compliance with industry practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good team player with strong sense of responsibility
• Able to work independently and ability to work under pressure with speed and accuracy
