Job Description

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to inform product decisions - you’re not told what to design; you work closely with our business team to decide what to design

• Gather, scope and draft business processes (as-is & to-be) and UI flows

• Prototype and iterate concepts to learn what user needs - to get the right design

• Create low fidelity user interfaces and experiences across our mobile and web apps, keeping yourself updated on the latest design patterns

• Own the User Journey and understand user needs via user research and usability studies

• Transform user problems into validated solutions leveraging all possible consumer touch points, such as our Mobile apps and Website, Email and Push Notifications, Customer Experience and Marketplace Operations, and other possible means

• Work closely with development team to support implementation, plan and schedule project timelines and milestones

• Manage and ensure timely delivery of projects

• Track project milestones and provide regular progress reports to Business Director • Conduct user testing to ensure ease of use—to get the design right

• Raise defects / issues found during user testing and follow through and notify support team immediately on critical issues

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in IT-related or any business discipline

• Excellent command in written and verbal English and Chinese (Mandarin) is a must as required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients

• Possess good communication skills, analytical and planning aptitude

• Meticulous attention to detail with the discipline and dedication to deliver on prioritised roadmap and commitments to business

• Curiosity, having a keen interest in people and their needs

• Passion, for building usable and beautiful user experiences

• Understanding of User Research role and process – knowing what it can do and what it can’t and being able to facilitate the elements of the process when needed

• Obsession in learning how things work – we don’t expect you to be an engineer, but we love the super-users

• Passion for the industry of consumer internet products – you are a go-to person in figuring out why all the teens are using this and that
