Company Profile

Gobal Airfreight International Pte Ltd. or GAI, in short, was established in 1970 in Singapore as a privately owned company specializing in air freight forwarding between Singapore and Jakarta, Indonesia.

What started out as a two men business operating out of Singapore’s old Paya Lebar Airport to Jakarta, is now the largest locally-owned air freight forwarder with branch offices in South-east Asia and Greater China.

At the same time, we intensified our cooperation with more overseas agents and in 1984 we joined a worldwide network of cargo agents known as the World Air Cargo Organisation (WACO) to extend our geographical coverage.

GAI’s vision is to be the “choice logistics solutions provider in the region”. As a step towards fulfilling this vision, we ventured outside of Singapore for the first time in 1987 when we set up Global Airfreight in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Over the next few years, GAI continued with its regionalisation program by adding more branches in the following countries: Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Taiwan and China.

Today, GAI and her group employ over 600 fulltime personnel in 9 countries and 16 cities. Its revenue exceeded 150 million Singapore Dollars and is among the largest SME forwarders in ASEAN.

“Reliable since 1970....Going for customer delight.”
