- Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to support events and logistics matters of GCNS. The individual will learn about corporate sustainability and get exposure to run programmes by GCNS to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
The individual will additionally learn about sustainability reporting in companies and event organising. He/She will be expected to work very closely with GCNS Program managers, as well as external stakeholders of GCNS. The ideal candidate is someone who will be able to commit full-time from 1 June – 30 November 2022.
The candidate will join an active UN Global Compact local network - an ambitious team that is energised behind our mission to promote corporate sustainability and responsible business in Singapore and the region.
Responsibilities:
- Support the administering of the Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards: assisting with the preliminary assessment, site visits, sending invites and final judging event
- Assist with Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards Gala dinner: registration, sending invites, liaising with the winners
- Support the delivery of GCNS’ flagship (Thought leadership, Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards Gala Dinner and GCNS Summit) and non-flagship events, in physical, virtual or hybrid format
- Assist in the planning and implementing logistical support for GCNS physical and/or virtual events, including webinars and training courses
- Support marketing and promotional efforts for GCNS Summit and Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards
- Assist in any administrative and other ad hoc duties as required by Project Mangers (e.g. vendor / venue sourcing)
Requirements:
- Some knowledge/experience in events
- Knowledge in various virtual event platforms (e.g. Zoom, Google Meets), and willing to explore alternatives as required
- Possess initiative to look for alternative solutions and assist the team whenever needed
- Good understanding of digital marketing preferred
- Goal-oriented with a mature disposition to take ownership of projects and targets assigned
- Strong communicator (written and verbal); comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across different sectors, regions and seniority levels
- Possess a positive work ethic and determination in achieving targets within tight deadlines with minimal supervision
- Accept that OT is necessary at times
- Able to work within a small team dynamic
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
