Glorious State is committed to raising the standards of design in Singapore; one of the ways is to invest in developing future leaders and designers from the local institution through internship programmes. Since 2019, we have been hiring interns and more than 8 students have graduated from our firm. These students come from NUS, ITE, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Lasalle.
Purpose of the position:
Assist with all aspects of interior design work.
This will include attending on and off site client meetings, obtaining an agreed verbal client brief with a clearly defined budget
Work with suppliers of products and services under the guidance of Interior Designer to reach a design solution.
Visit product supplier’s showrooms to obtain samples of tiles, fabrics etc to create a colour scheme
Preparing draft client reports, specifying colours, fabrics, furniture and furnishings and preparing presentation packages for clients.
Drawing Sketch Plans of houses to show colour scheme to clients and sketch plans to show room layouts and meeting with clients to show plans.
Assist Interior Designer to manage and co-ordinate project on site.
Take photographs of completed job for client file, stock inventory and promotional purposes.
Other duties include:
Assist and work closely with Designers to understand clients’ requirements.
Work with a design team and prepare drawings, costing, quotation and proposal.
Assist and work closely with Designers to manage project tasks and work schedule.
To maintain the material library after each design meeting.
To ensure that studio is kept in best arrangements.
Meet and present design proposal to clients.
Follow-through all required clients communications.
Assist project management of suppliers & vendors, follow up tightly on quotes.
Assist sourcing & proposing of interior styling furnishing & décor
Assist during photoshoot and styling session.
Assist in documentation of clients design deck.
Maintain excellent customer relationship.
Assist in social media
Assist in email queries
Assist in day to day hospitality of day to day client visit.
