Position Objective
To gain hands-on experience and enhance technical skills in Corporate Tax function, supporting the Head of Global Tax. You will be exposed to the works of the tax team in areas of tax compliance and transfer pricing.
The key duties and learning experience that can be achieved in this role include -
Tax Compliance
- Coordinate with external service providers and finance teams on direct tax matters for SG, MY, AU, NZ including tax estimates, data collation for external service provider to prepare tax return and/or tax audit /query support.
- Monitor and keep track of the Group entities’ corporate tax return filing status and housekeeping of documents.
- Collate data from finance for annual tax incentive reporting to EDB.
Transfer Pricing (“TP”)
- Prepare/review monthly/quarterly intercompany charges calculations based on the targeted margin set for the Group and coordinate with Finance for intercompany invoicing
- Validate the actual margin achieved before finalisation of the audited financial statement and work with Finance to make adjustments as necessary.
- Coordinate with the local finance on the entities’ related party and other associated data required for preparation of transfer pricing master and local files.
- AD-hoc TP projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt
- Basic knowledge of accounting/tax concepts
- Effective communication skills
- Enthusiasm for a career in Corporate Tax
- Minimum (3) months of internship or (3) days a week for part-time internships with minimum of (6) months
