Greenitio is a Singapore-based startup using computational simulations and green chemistry to design and synthesize novel sustainable (bio-based, biodegradable) alternatives to microplastic ingredients found in products with high-environmental impact. We are creating unique biomolecules that aim to exhibit comparable performance and provide similar functionalities to of petroleum-derived materials minus the pollution. Because climate change waits for no one, our computer-aided design approach accelerates development by reducing cost and time of discovery by at least 10 fold.
On-going projects involve designing and synthesizing biodegradable polymers, green chemicals, and bio-based materials. Visit www.greenitio.com for more information.
Ideally, you should:
- Have extensive experience in either organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, synthesis of materials.
- Have a minimum bachelor's degree or pursue one in chemistry/ materials science/ chemical engineering/ medicinal chemistry/ biochemistry/ biological science/ environmental science or related disciplines.
- Have more than 6 months of working experience in a wet laboratory. Must have prior knowledge of handling organic solvents and chemicals and setting up chemical reactions.
- Knowledge of green chemistry and its principles are preferred.
- You will work with Greenitio scientists to help in day to day laboratory activities.
- Help set up the reaction, monitor reactions, and fundamental laboratory analysis.
- Keep a record of laboratory notebooks for all experiments and day-to-day activities.
