The Social Intern is responsible for assisting the team in developing and maintaining a comprehensive social media strategy that defines how social media marketing techniques will be applied to increase visibility and traffic across all clients.
Responsibilities
GENERAL
- Attend client WIPs to understand how we communicate / work with clients
- Attend internal WIPs to understand how the agency works
SOCIAL MEDIA UNDERSTANDING
- Possess understanding of social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube
- Familiarity with Facebook Ads Manager (nice to have)
- Experience working with Influencers (nice to have)
IDEATION & CREATION
- Support the team with social media ideation and brainstorming
- Assist the social media managers and executives in social post creation (content)
- Ensuring that the social media team is kept updated with latest social media trends/news
- Responsible for keeping abreast of current events and trending topics to quickly incorporate into social media strategy
- Support the team with Influencer sourcing and campaign management
COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
- Responsible for monitoring conversations on clients-related issues
- Responding to community conversations as agreed with clients
- Proposing actions on how clients can be part of the conversation
- Alerting clients when issues gain traction online and proposing solutions or actioning as agreed
DATA & ANALYTICS SUPPORT
- Assist in compiling data across multiple social media platforms in support of the creation of weekly/monthly reports (including analysis for insights, optimizations and future strategy development)
- Demonstrate strategic insight to develop long term execution plans and/or short-term activations
- Offer strategic insight and intelligence for new and existing clients to help them build stronger digital and social presence
CREATIVITY & POP CULTURE AWARENESS
- Demonstrates a strong motivation to create quality, creative and insightful content
- Ability to develop monthly content plan with strategic view and ideate with art director
- Strong writing skills as this role requires development of social post copy
- Monitors the latest trends in social media, including advertising formats, channels and technologies in order to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations/ ideas around trending topics
- Ability to liaise with creative, design and production teams to bring life to your ideas and create high-end social content
