Event and Marketing Intern

We are looking for an Event and Marketing Intern to assist in our up-coming event. Your primary focus will be responsible for assisting with the development of our marketing strategy and planning successful events that advance the recognition of the company and services.

The successful candidate will also be charged with discovering new opportunities within the community to establish a stronger bond with our target audience.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Identify potential opportunities at the local level and create campaigns to capitalize on those opportunities

· Assist in identifying and engaging potential sponsorships for the event

· Plan and assist all aspects the event planning process such as logistics of an event/Seminars, including venue, guests, programs, catering, and marketing.

· Assist venue identification, menu development, printing and design of materials and budgeting

· Assist for selection of vendors, collaboration with vendors and track event expenses and review accuracy of invoices.

· Assist the set-up, running, and break down of the event identifying and resolving problems if any

· Create summary reports of each event outlining how data gathered from current events can be used to develop successful future events

Qualification and skills

· Bachelor Degree/Diploma in hospitality management, marketing or a related field

· Past event management experience

· Proven track record of identifying and maximizing event opportunities

· Must be a self-starter who require little or no supervision to meet corporate goals

· Excellent time management and communication skills

· A Team player

· A Good initiator
