HashMicro Pte Ltd – Web Design Intern

The design intern is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves listening to clients and understanding their needs before making design decisions. The designs are required for a huge variety of products and activities, such as websites, posters, logos, mobile applications, and ERPs. The graphic designer will work together with the clients, creative director or project manager and gain a first-hand learning experience from them. They develop creative ideas and concepts by choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the client's objectives.

Job duties

-  Meet with clients or the project manager to determine the scope of a project

-  Determine the message the design should portray

-  Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, websites and ERPs

-  Prepare rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief

-  Review final layouts and suggest improvements if required

-  Present the design to clients or the project manager

-  Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design

-  Review designs for errors before publishing them

-  Any other duties as assigned

Job requirement

- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop

- Strong portfolios that showcase their best work

- Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)

- Creative and original

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Professional approach to time and deadlines

- Confident to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues

- Basic knowledge in web design and html is a plus point

- Ability to converse in Mandarin is a plus point

Job Responsibilities

- Be flexible in creative/design approach while maintaining commercial requirements and guidelines

- Able to look from the point of view of consumers and convey the client’s desired message

- Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts

- Amend final designs to clients' comments and gain full approval

- Work as part of a team with copywriters, designers, developers, project managers and etc

- High initiative with responsible and positive working attitude

- Willing to accept multiple changes when necessary

- Independent and proactive
