Job Description
We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping learners grow and seeing them develop towards their full potential. You will be directly supporting participants on our programs and will have the opportunity to suggest ideas that improve program effectiveness. You will succeed in the role if you have strong people skills and would like to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Roles and Responsibilities
1) Build rapport with participants and support them in their career development journey
2) Support Hatch's outreach and engagement work across a range of consumer and business profiles
3) Track and measure outcomes and identify avenues to improve the effectiveness of programs
Learning Opportunities
1) Understand and carry out impact and outcome assessments
2) Gain experience in associated job responsibilities such as curriculum design, job coaching, and stakeholder management
3) Participate in the curriculum improvement process, including developing goals, objectives and processes
Who are we looking for?
We look for people who are mission-aligned, with the ability to get work done, and are eager to grow in a social impact driven startup. How we evaluate them is by listening to the head, heart, and gut, from what is usually not captured on paper. Qualifications and work experience are relevant but are not exclusive proxies of capability. In shortlisting our candidates, we also look at instances of past work and evidence of a “can-do” attitude - we sometimes take a short call with candidates first to get to know them better before deciding whether to proceed with an interview.
For internship positions, we are looking for students from local Institutes of Higher Learning who are able to commit for a minimum of 5 months. This includes students who are looking to fulfil internship requirements or have plans to take a Leave of Absence.
