Job Description
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making quality education accessible to all. You will be working on social innovation projects to enable opportunities for socially and financially vulnerable groups. A large part of that work will involve working with external stakeholders to design and deliver effective programs. You will succeed in the role if you have a systems mindset and is comfortable navigating uncertainties.
Roles and Responsibilities
1) Apply social innovation models to local education context and map out key stakeholders
2) Understand the multifaceted considerations of different parties to co-create viable programs
3) Analyse impact outcomes and identify avenues to strengthen the theory of change delivery
Learning Opportunities
1) Understand the potential of social innovation and one's role in this process
2) How to conceptualise, design, and deliver a socially impactful program
3) Clearly articulate goals and work with diverse stakeholders
Who are we looking for?
We look for people who are mission-aligned, with the ability to get work done, and are eager to grow in a social impact driven startup. How we evaluate them is by listening to the head, heart, and gut, from what is usually not captured on paper. Qualifications and work experience are relevant but are not exclusive proxies of capability. In shortlisting our candidates, we also look at instances of past work and evidence of a “can-do” attitude - we sometimes take a short call with candidates first to get to know them better before deciding whether to proceed with an interview.
For internship positions, we are looking for students from local Institutes of Higher Learning who are able to commit for a minimum of 5 months. This includes students who are looking to fulfil internship requirements or have plans to take a Leave of Absence.
