Account Management Intern (Jan - Jun 2024)
The Position:
Havas is looking for an Account Management Intern to join the SEA Havas Health & You team in Singapore!
This role presents a valuable learning opportunity for an Account Management Intern aiming to grow their skills in client relationship and sales, particularly within the dynamic environment of a healthcare communications agency. As an intern, your main role will be to support the management of client accounts in the healthcare sector, focusing on effective communication and helping with project coordination.
This position is ideal for someone beginning to explore business and client relations, as you will aid in transforming client requirements into feasible strategies. As part of our skilled and nurturing team, you will engage in various projects across multiple sectors, gaining insights into both regional and global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Support:
- Provide support in nurturing and sustaining relationships with existing clients
- Contribute to preparing client presentations and communications materials
- Attend client meetings and calls to gain insights into their requirements and feedback
2. Sales Support:
- Assist the account management team in the creating and presenting proposals and pitches to clients
- Support in conducting market research to identify potential leads and industry trends
3. Administrative Tasks:
- Handle routine administrative responsibilities such as organizing meetings, maintaining client databases, and other ad hoc duties as may be required.
- Help in the compilation of reports on account statuses, offering a chance to learn about account management metrics
4. Project Management:
- Aid in the organization, coordination, and implementation of projects related to account management
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met
- Get hands-on experience with project management tools to monitor progress, identify challenges, and learn about problem-solving strategies
Qualifications:
- Educational background – studying Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Health Sciences related degree (undergraduates completed Year 2 or Year 3 when starting role)
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Proficiency in MS Office, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices, or willingness
- Basic understanding of project management principles is a plus
Minimum Commitment Period:
- Minimum commitment of 6 months from January 2024
