Job Description

Community Intern


We are looking for an energetic Community intern to join the Hcook team and help us solidify our presence in Singapore. This person will be supporting our Community Team by producing content for our local social media platforms, listening to and engaging with users regularly, planning Community meet-ups and large-scale events, curating in-app content and coming up with creative and crazy effective campaigns and copy to spread the Hcook love.

A Hcook internship is unlike any other. Our interns are quick on their feet, resourceful, adaptable and learn a heck of a lot in a short amount of time. If you're looking to make an impact and get your hands dirty with a myriad of opportunities, this is the adventure for you.


What you'll get to do during your internship

Develop and iterate Community strategy together with the team

•Participate and actively contribute to discussions and weekly sync-ups that translate into actionable strategies.

•Take ownership over mini-projects and campaigns from ideation to execution.

•Brainstorm, research and pitch fresh ways for Hcook to spark joy with our community of users regularly.

Create and curate content for social media platforms and in-app

•Flex your copywriting skills by drafting copy for social media posts, marketing messages and publicity collateral.

•Design social media graphics.

•Discover and curate the best Hcook chefs to feature on our channels.

Organise events of all sizes

•Get involved with planning our offline marketing events.

•Be a integral part of the events team in putting together bazaars, charity events and partnership activities.

Be the face of the Hcook Community Team

•Provide exemplary support though replying to social media queries and comments.

•Assist users wherever possible and help to funnel community stories to PR.

•Surface community feedback to Product and Engineering teams.


Requirements

•Able to commit for a minimum of 2 months on a full-time basis (8 hours a day)

•A Hcook user and/or familiar with using the Hcook app and its features 

•Passionate about the world of online buying and selling.

•A love for technology and curious about the latest innovations in mobile applications.

•Quick learner who can adapt to a fast-paced and often unpredictable working environment.

•Experience or interest in marketing, community management and startups.

•Creative and comfortable with pitching unconventional ideas to market Hcook to our target demographics.

•Knowledge of graphic design and able to use Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Indesign is preferred.

•Knowledge or passion in food photography is a plus!

•Fluent in English (written and spoken)
