The role will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Wholesale Distribution (South-East Asia) Team. The intern will develop an understanding of the mutual funds industry, and gain insights into a buy-side salesperson’s experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general sales support to the Wholesale Funds Distribution Team based in Singapore
- Conduct peer group fund comparisons and analysis utilising Morningstar, Bloomberg, and other available resources
- Assist with the updating of sales pitchbooks and client presentations on a regular basis
- Conduct market research of the mutual funds industry in South-East Asia
- Work with the Henderson RFP team and compile and coordinate input for client RFPs (Request-For-Proposals)
- Assist with updating sales team reports, including tracking of pipeline activities
- Assist with the preparation of client events
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Final-year university student in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a similar discipline
- Possesses an interest in mutual funds and a basic understanding of the asset management / private banking industry
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Self-motivated, meticulous with a strong sense of responsibility
- Able to create presentation pitchbooks and use Bloomberg to pull together basic analysis
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese
