Job Description

We are looking for a hungry and driven Communications Intern to join Hill+Knowlton Strategies. The ideal candidate will have an interest in shaping our clients’ communication strategies and making their brands matter.

Besides gaining hands-on experience and first-hand insights into the field of Communications and the day-to-day functions of an Integrated Communications agency, you will also develop confidence and marketable skills in a real-life business setting.

Our interns will be immersed into all aspects of the Communications industry including business development, media relations, pitching, monitoring, research, coordinating and managing media conference, events and seminars. 

You must have a passion and aptitude for learning, developing pertinent communication strategies, and helping clients to protect, enhance or build their brands. You should also possess exemplary interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively as a team player within a specific set of accounts. 

What you need to be successful in this role: 

  • An Undergraduate or Graduate in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or any related field. 
  • You enjoy handling the day-to-day support in client servicing for allocated accounts, ensuring that highest quality standards are met – including but not limited to research, daily media monitoring and logistics support.
  • You will play a support role to develop key PR deliverables including case studies, client proposals, press releases, reports, media invitations and feature pitches. 
  • You are good at fostering relationships with various stakeholders including clients, suppliers/vendors, media, consultants, and all levels of employees within the agency. 
  • You are a highly motivated and driven self-starter.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate and propose ideas internally during team meetings.
  • You have an interest or desire to work with corporate, B2B clients but are also open to other practices or industries.
  • Most importantly, you are enthusiastic and thrive best in a highly collaborative and fast-paced culture.
