Job Description

Basic Purpose: The PM Intern is responsible for working closely to ensure that project plans are in support of client business objectives and are aligned with the company's human and financial resources. In addition, he/she is also responsible for providing client, project and people support on maintenance and other assignments supporting the project management team in achieving client objectives (scope, quality, timing and budget) and the company's objectives (quality and profitability). 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:                           

Contribute to Account Development                                                                       ·         Assist the Account Management as needed with proposal presentations, explaining to the client the rationale for timing and related costs.

Project Management                                                                                  

  • Interacts with the account management to gain an understanding of the project goals and objectives.
  • Support the PM team in the maintenance of project specifications, scopes and objectives
  • Learn to develop and define project specifications, scope and objectives. 
  • Assist with Account Management to ensure client approval of the Statement of Work, estimate and schedule.
  • Issue weekly status reports
  • Proactively identify risks and develop and communicate solutions to contingency plans and manage to those plans

Document Ownership                                                                                       

  • Support creation of Statements of Work and support project plans, resources plans and estimates.
  • Oversee the timely production of clear, concise written documentation for project deliverables.    

Job Requirements

· Applicants with mass communications background

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Exercises sound judgement in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines

· Manages time efficiently and is able to handle multiple tasks at the same time

· Has a sense of urgency – demonstrates ability to get things done

· Strong attention to detail/follow through

· Exhibits positive attitude and works well under pressure

· Self-starter who is able to work with minimum supervision but at the same time is a team-player

· Good communications skills

· Technology literacy
