ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Intern, Mass Spectrometry to join the Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry team to assist on running and developing MS and LC-MS based assays. The intern will be trained and assist on sample preparation and experimental run. Maintaining good written records of laboratory procedures and analyzing the results are also expected. The intern will participate and attend group/team meetings and may have opportunities to work closely with other departments to learn the details of on-going projects that will require novel method development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in laboratory work using a wide range of chromatography and LC-MS techniques for characterization of antibodies and other therapeutic recombinant proteins
- Assist in preparation of reports, presentations, protocols and SOPs
- Assist in method development and qualification
- Assist in performing laboratory housekeeping and ensure a good lab environment according to company guidelines
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or a related discipline
- Knowledge in protein structure and biochemistry
- Basic laboratory experience
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Hands on experience in reverse-phase and HILIC chromatography is a plus.
- Hands on experience in sample preparation and biological techniques such as gel electrophoresis, protein digestion and western blotting is a plus.
