Job Description
At ECAL, we’re experiencing a high growth phase of our business, and we know that the key to realising this growth is in a high-performing sales team. That’s why we’re seeking a committed and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help find, connect and qualify potential customers who can benefit from ECAL’s world-leading products and services.
As the first line of communication with prospects, you will develop a strong understanding of the sales process, a great knowledge of the ECAL product, and you will excel at contacting free trial customers, demo request customers, researching new leads, creating lead lists, starting new relationships, and setting our sales closers up for success.
You will be a quick learner with strong communication skills, a strong interest in developing your skills in SaaS software sales, a good understanding of event-based marketing, a love of high profile sports and entertainment, and you can showcase the ECAL product and services in a simple and compelling way with the help of supporting materials. Every current lead needs to be contacted and qualified, and every potential customer is an opportunity for you to develop your sales skills, boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.
Objectives of this Role
- Represent ECAL’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding of what we offer, how it works, and how our solution benefits our target customers.
- Uncover, contact and qualify all existing leads from our existing sales and marketing channels including web free trial sign ups, product demo requests, online form submissions and dedicated outreach campaigns.
- Manage new sales outreach campaigns, including generating new leads, and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects, and prepare and engage sales executives for next steps.
- Identify best practices to help refine the company’s lead generation playbook for optimal results.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Utilise Zoho CRM, cold calling, email and Intercom live chat and messaging to generate new sales opportunities.
- Identify prospect needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
- Provide relevant sales and marketing information to help inform prospects, and bring them along the sales journey.
- Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as distinct sales opportunities.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities, and bring these to the attention of management.
- Contact prospective customers when their free trial period has ended, and convert them to a paid plan.
- Contact prospective customers who have requested a product demonstration, and complete a booking for a meeting or web call with an appropriate sales executive.
- Set up meetings or calls between prospective customers and sales executives as required.
- Report to the sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Previous sales experience, with a history of exceeding sales or lead targets.
- A solid understanding of marketing principles for sports, major events or entertainment media is beneficial.
- A solid understanding of SaaS software is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills via phone and email.
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
- Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organisation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a sales CRM software such as Zoho, Salesforce, Hubspot etc.
- Prior experience as a Sales Development Representative with a track record of achieving sales quotes.
