Job Description

We are looking for a creative and motivated Interior Design Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will assist the Lead Designer in various stages of interior design projects, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to exciting design initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to develop your design skills, learn about space planning, and support the creation of design proposals for diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Designer: Work closely with the lead designer to support project execution, from concept development to completion. This includes preparing design presentations, creating mood boards, and assisting with material and furniture selection.

  • Space Planning: Collaborate in the space planning process, assisting with layout designs, furniture placement, and ensuring that designs maximize functionality, flow, and efficiency within the space.

  • Design Proposal Preparation: Assist in drafting and developing design proposals, including visual presentations and project documentation. Help compile material samples, color schemes, and design elements to create comprehensive proposals for client review.

  • Research: Conduct research on current design trends, materials, and products that can be integrated into design solutions, ensuring innovative and up-to-date designs.

  • Site Visits & Documentation: Support the team during site visits, helping with measurements, taking photographs, and documenting any relevant observations or requirements for the project.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in interior design and eagerness to learn and grow in the field.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of space planning principles and design concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
