Job Description

About the role

We are seeking a Centre Management Intern to oversee the operations and growth of our new I Can Read centre in Alexandra. You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of our centre, while also identifying new opportunities to expand our offerings and reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the administration of the centre
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre, including student enrolment, enquiries, assessments, registration etc.
  • Scheduling classes to ensure optimal usage of resources (classrooms, teachers, materials etc.)
  • Planning for centre growth, including implementing marketing strategies to attract new students and promote the centre's services
  • Manage the centre's finances, including budgeting, invoicing, reporting etc. Ensure conformance to education regulations and government requirements
  • Establish excellent rapport with parents, children and the teachers
  • Responsible for maintaining professional appearance of the centre and staff, cleanliness and safe operations

The Candidate to have the following traits

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Proactive with good organizational skills and time management
  • Kind and nurturing approach when interacting with children
  • Adaptable and keen to work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Minimum diploma or above
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of ERP software

Working hours

  • Wednesday to Friday from 1pm to 9pm
  • Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6.30pm
  • Flexible at the start
