POSITION OBJECTIVE
This person will primarily support the project manager during the internship duration from end to end on a project and will have the opportunity to work with the event/marketing teams locally and regionally. He / she will be involved in IDC events logistics, delegate recruitment, sponsors liaison, event marketing and onsite / digital event management.
The purpose of this role is to focus on delivering successful events that will be profitable to IDC’s event business unit, at the same time work to receive positive feedback from delegates and sponsors.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event Planning & Execution
- Proactively support the project manager on various assigned tasks such as delegate, management, sponsor management, vendor management, marketing, on-site event support.
- Work on securing venues and negotiating venue hire and catering requirements for events in line with budgets.
- Liaise with sponsors to run through event logistics / action items / marketing and provide them with regular updates (via email and/or verbal) regarding event registrations, logistics, set up times etc.
- Provide sponsors with a post event report and/or set up a meeting to run through event results.
- Increase event registrations via working with sponsors and AP marketing / events team to develop marketing campaigns to encourage registrations (e.g., PR campaigns, prize draws for registrants before the event).
- Database Management
- Proactively work with Direct Report on different strategies to expand end user database either through social media, event marketing efforts or any other form of outreach.
- Work with the telemarketing team to assist in the local and regional expansion and clean-up of the database.
- Marketing
- Proactively plan and work out a schedule on delegate recruitment for all events.
- Create and send out eDMs and other marketing materials.
- Know what are the recruitment promotional assets required by other markets in APAC.
- Develop a social media engagement plan for regional and local events & coordinate this effort for our syndicated events with Marketing Teams locally and regionally.
