As a Front of House Staff member in our restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and memorable dining experience for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure exceptional customer service, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and contribute to the overall efficiency of restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Excellence
- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Assist in seating guests and provide menus promptly.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with courtesy and efficiency.
Table Maintenance
- Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of dining tables.
- Monitor and replenish table supplies as needed.
- Coordinate with kitchen and support staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Communication
- Effectively communicate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Collaborate with team members to create a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
Upselling and Promotion
- Knowledgeably promote menu items and special offerings.
- Suggestive selling to enhance the dining experience for guests.
Cash Handling
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
Cleanliness and Organization
- Maintain cleanliness in the front-of-house area, including dining tables, floors, and common areas.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas as required.
Qualifications
- New in the hospitality industry are welcome.
- Experience in a customer service-oriented role preferrable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with grace and composure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
Education and Training
- Secondary School, diploma or equivalent.
- Training in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Training will be provided to new applicants
