Job Description

Position: Brand Development Specialist Intern

This is a minimally 3 month long commitment. 

You will shadow our group director as we build a new brand to extend our value chain and immerse yourself in the rare experience of setting up a new brand from scratch.

This is a multifaceted role with each assigned task being a building block of our brand building efforts, reflective of the responsibilities and sense of accomplishment this internship role has to offer. 

Your contributions are to assist with:

  1. Brainstorming, strategizing and implementing our brand awareness campaign 
  2. Project and financial management for each brand awareness campaign 
  3. Research and management of our target demographic, 
  4. Preparing promotional materials and presentations
  5. Research and analysis of our competitors.

You will gain hands on experience how the real business world works, accelerating your entry into the working world with us on a full time basis (should you be retained), or otherwise. 

Key Responsibilities: preparing marketing proposals, surveying customers and researching consumer trends 

  • Collecting data such as surveys, opinion polls or questionnaire. Analysing 
  • our end users’ needs, wants and trends. 
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies with necessary adjustments where appropriate. 
  • Present findings above to management. 
  • Prepare marketing proposals and presentations 
  • Monitor and manage the efficiency of outreach campaigns through our social media platforms 

Qualifications: 

  • High level of English proficiency (written and spoken) 
  • Mindful with high level of emotional intelligence
  • Degree / Diploma holders
  • Experience in completing marketing campaigns and projects 
  • Good commercial sense / business acumen 
  • Passion for commerce
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders 
  • Sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
